The trigger

You need this when...

The brief is broad, the ideas are multiplying, and the production ambition is starting to outrun the budget. Your team needs a senior creative partner who can find the opening, focus the work, and protect the idea all the way into market.

The outcome

What you end up with

One defendable campaign platform, built with your team and translated into concepts, channels, production priorities, and a launch plan the budget can actually carry.

The offer ladder

Where this fits

Start with the amount of help the decision actually needs. Move up only when the work needs to go deeper or stay longer.

Fit

Who it's for

Built for

  • Marketing leaders preparing for a launch, seasonal moment, repositioning, or major brand push
  • Internal creative teams that need senior outside perspective without handing the work to another agency
  • Brands with a real product or operational advantage that is not yet showing up in the creative
  • Teams with limited production budgets that still need work capable of earning attention
  • Organizations with plenty of activity but no single campaign idea holding it together

Not the right fit

  • Teams looking for a campaign idea developed in isolation and handed over as a surprise
  • Brands that have not decided what business result the campaign needs to move
  • Organizations that want more assets without making a sharper strategic choice
  • Projects where the available budget and production constraints cannot be discussed openly

Common situations

Bring us a decision like this

A high-stakes moment needs an idea

A launch, holiday window, repositioning, or growth target is coming, but the work still feels like a collection of messages rather than a campaign.

The budget is smaller than the ambition

You need a creative device that compounds across channels instead of spending the entire budget on one beautiful asset.

The internal team needs a senior partner

The talent is already in the room. What is missing is an outside creative lead who can sharpen the brief, unlock the work, and make the hard calls with the team.

The product truth is not breaking through

The brand has a genuine advantage, but the category language has made it sound interchangeable with everyone else.

The team is under-resourced

The campaign matters, but key roles are missing or spread across too many priorities. You need experienced campaign leadership without waiting for a hire.

Nobody has room for one more project

The team's calendar is already full. An embedded campaign lead can carry the strategy, keep decisions moving, and coordinate the work without turning the launch into another internal side job.

Deliverables

What you get

The work is built to survive contact with the real world: the audience you need to move, the team you already have, the channels you must feed, and the budget available. The result is not a deck full of possibilities. It is one campaign platform your team can believe in, produce, and carry into market.

Build the campaign

Process

How it works

  1. Find the real job: Align on the business outcome, audience, deadline, budget, and the decisions already made. Then audit the category and the work on the table.
  2. Find the opening: Identify the emotional or cultural truth competitors are missing and the brand truth that can credibly answer it.
  3. Build with the team: Work directly with your strategists, creatives, channel leads, and agency partners to develop two to three campaign territories. If that team does not exist yet, I assemble the right external specialists or agency partners around the work.
  4. Choose under pressure: Test each direction against the audience, objective, channels, budget, and production reality. Select one platform worth protecting.
  5. Make it executable: Turn the platform into a channel system, production approach, briefs, budget priorities, and a launch roadmap.
  6. Protect the idea: Stay through key reviews so the campaign becomes sharper in execution instead of being negotiated into sameness.

What to expect

How we work

  • This is an embedded partnership. The best work comes from building with your creative team, not disappearing and returning with a reveal.
  • The budget is a design constraint from the beginning. It shapes the idea, formats, cast, locations, and channel plan before production starts.
  • Alex leads strategy and creative direction. Your team, agency, or production partners execute the work unless production support is added separately.
  • The engagement ends with one focused campaign platform, not a menu of disconnected ideas.

What we need from you

  • One decision-maker who can resolve strategic and creative choices
  • Access to the existing brief, research, brand work, channel plan, and relevant performance data
  • A working budget range and the authority to make tradeoffs inside it
  • Direct access to the people who will create, produce, approve, and distribute the campaign

Questions

FAQs

Does this replace our creative team or agency?
No. I come into the team you already have. I sharpen the brief, find the opening, help develop the campaign, and provide the senior creative direction that keeps strategy, ideas, channels, and production working as one system.
Can this work with a fixed or limited budget?
Yes. The budget is part of the creative brief, not something revealed after the idea is sold. We decide where production value will matter, where a repeatable device can do more work than scale, and which assets can be built to travel across channels.
What do we leave with?
A focused brief, two to three campaign territories, one selected platform, its message and creative principles, a channel and content system, production priorities, and a launch roadmap. Your team should know what to make, why it will matter, and where the budget goes.
Do you produce the campaign too?
The core engagement covers strategy, campaign development, creative direction, and key reviews. Your team or agency can execute it. If you need production partners, I can help source and direct the right specialists as a separate scope.
How many concepts do we get?
Two to three distinct territories are developed far enough to make a real choice. Then we commit to one. The goal is not a large pile of options; it is a campaign the whole team can make better.
How long does it take?
Most campaign builds take four to six weeks from diagnosis through a production-ready platform. Timing changes with the number of stakeholders, research needs, and how far into execution you want me involved.
